Systems/Sales Engineer
Seeking pre/post sales engineer in our Lewisville, TX office. Prefer candidates with a minimum 3 years working for a software or hardware Vendor in the area of Tape or DASD mainframe storage and be experienced in providing technical presentations as well as proficient with installing and customizing 3rd party software products on OS/390. We will consider system programmers with 10+ years recent mainframe systems or storage experience who can communicate well, and can provide presentations to small and large audiences.Experience with STK, IBM, EMC, Amdahl, or mainframe storage software vendors a plus:
- Good communication and listening skill
- Good presentation skills
- OS/390 storage experience required
- Compensation commensurate with experience
- Little to no travel
- Pre-Sales explanation of our products to prospects via phone and/or in person if necessary
- Post-Sales implementation assistance when necessary
- Some Level 1 & 2 product support when backup is needed
- Pre-Sales product evaluation oversight to ensure client is successful with products and understands the capabilities while evaluating.
- Product presentations at Conferences
- Some Q/A of new releases
- Some monthly maintenance work on our OS/390 system
- Assist with input to product direction meetings
